" Case Studies of Professional / Executives "

In the case of professionals, the major role is played by the fifth and the second houses besides the planet ruling a particular profession being strong.   The lord of the third house also plays an important role.  Not only is the application of intelligence, education and ability to cordially communicate with others, the major requirement for the successful practice of a professional, but the planet ruling analytical faculties, Mercury, also plays a vital role.  There is relationship of the tenth or the second or the lord of the fifth house or the lord of the ascendant with the fifth or the tenth or the second house.   The strong Moon and the Sun is an additional asset for the professionals.  A professional has to maintain his own public relations and has to plan and organize his own business unit. The strong lords of the second, third or ninth houses containing a mooltrikona sign also act as Sun.

The subject will be discussed further, with the help of the case studies for better comprehension.

Male Born 11th Dec. 1946, 2026 Hrs.  (Click here to see chart)
The sign, Cancer, rises in the ascendant and the Sun and Mars become the primary determinants of the status. The Sun is well-placed in the chart.  The lord of the fourth house is strongly placed in the fourth house but is closely conjunct with the functional malefic, Jupiter.  The most malefic planet is placed in the ascendant.  This placement of the lord of the eighth house blesses the native with good inheritance but it makes the person prone to accidents. Mars, the lord of the tenth house, closely aspects the most effective points of the ninth house and the ascendant.  The lord of the ascendant, the Moon, is placed near the most effective point of the ascendant and provides coverage to the afflictions in the chart.  The Moon occupies the ascendant of the dasamsa in its sign of exaltation.  The good placement of the Sun blessed the native with a senior managerial position but the affliction of Venus by functional malefic Jupiter gives tensions. The native suffers from hypertension.  There are no close afflictions to the houses and planets signifying professional status.  During the sub-period of Rahu in the main period of Venus, the promotion of the native was delayed.  At that time, he sought astrological consultation.

Male born Oct. 1940   (Click here to see chart)
In this case, Mercury becomes the primary determinant for professional affairs and the same is weak, as Mercury is in the state of old age.  Mars, Rahu and Ketu are closely influencing the matters pertaining to the professional career and are close to the most effective points of the houses occupied and aspected.  The Sun is in its sign of debilitation and is placed in the eleventh house.  The lord of the ascendant is closely conjunct with the lord of the house of the initiatives in the fifth house.  This gives deep flair to the native for acquiring knowledge and pursuing studies of different branches of knowledge.  During the main period of Saturn, the native acquired additional professional qualifications and rose to the level of senior management position.  During the sub-period of Rahu, which afflicts the lord of the fifth house, Mars, in the house of profession, the promotion of the native was delayed.  Rahu's sub-period also resulted into the problem of hypertension as Rahu closely afflicts both Mars and the most effective point of the fourth house.

The sign, Taurus, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

During the sub-period of Jupiter in the main period of Saturn, the delayed promotion of the native was ordered with the help of the astral remedies for the afflicting functional malefic planets.

Male born 8th March, 1955 1935 Hrs (Click here to see chart)
Venus becomes the prime determinant for status and professional growth in this chart and is placed in the fifth house.  Saturn, Jupiter and Ketu are the secondary determinants for professional matters.  Venus is well-placed in the chart and unafflicted.  Mercury ruling the ascendant is placed in the fifth house and is weak to some extent due to its being in the state of old age.  The lord of the house of income goes to the house of foreign affairs and the Moon is closely aspected by the functional malefic planet, the Sun, from the sixth house.  The lord of the eighth house, Mars, is closely conjunct with the most effective point of the eighth house but its aspect to the eleventh, the second and third houses is not welcome.  While a strong lord of the eighth house blesses with easy gains in life, its close influence, during its own sub-period, gives various obstructions and setbacks to the significations of the houses and planets which are under its affliction.

The sign, Virgo, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa. The native was dropped for promotion for 3 years continuously when he sought astrological help.  In the sub-period of Venus and main period of Rahu considering the strong position of the lord of the second house, it was thought that with the help of astral remedies both propitiatory and strengthening of functional benefic planets through a Yantra, the native will surely be blessed with a promotion. Although once a person is over-looked for promotion continuously for 3 years, his promotion is difficult in the particular department in which he is working, yet the religious performance of propitiatory remedies for the functional malefics and wearing of Yantra blessed the native with a promotion in March, 1996.

In the words of the native this was a unique case and possible only through the help of astrological remedial measures.

Male born 18th Sept. 1947, 0435 Hrs.  (Click here to see chart)
In this case, Mercury is the prime determinant for status, which is placed in the house of status in an exalted state.  The functional benefics, the Sun and Venus and malefic Rahu become secondary determinant for professional career.  The influence of Venus and Mercury gave a good rewarding career to the native.  The lord of the house of losses is placed in close conjunction with the most effective point of the third house.  Jupiter, the lord of the fifth house, is weak as it is in the state of infancy and is under the severe affliction of Rahu-Ketu axis.  The placement of the Moon is indicative of losses in personal enterprises.

The sign, Libra, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

During the sub-period of Ketu and the main period of Mercury, the native left his job and started a business out of the large financial gains obtained in the sub-period of Mercury in its own main period.  The weakness of the lord of the fifth house and lord of the ascendant often caused mental tension. Saturn is aspecting the most effective point of the second house and gives wealth and status rise in its sub-periods.  As Saturn is placed in the twelfth house and closely aspects the most effective point of the second house, during the main period of Saturn the native remained outside India on foreign assignment and earned a good amount of money and goodwill. He thought of encashing this by venturing into his own business in the sub-period of the lord of the house of initiatives placed in the house of status.  Astrological analysis indicates that the native may repent over his decision as the most malefic planet exerts its close influence on the most effective point of the third house.

Male born 23rd June, 1943, 1515 Hrs. (Click here to see chart)
In this case, the Moon becomes the prime determinant for the professional matters and its position in the fifth house indicates that the native may acquire status in life through good professional career.  Jupiter is placed in the tenth house.  The lord of the ascendant is placed in the tenth house and is under the close influence of Rahu-Ketu axis.  The lord of the fifth house is badly placed and is under the close aspect and affliction of Ketu.  Rahu closely afflicts the badly placed and weak Mars.  The most malefic planet, Mercury, closely influences the most effective point of the second house.  The Sun being lord of the eleventh house is placed in the ninth house.  The native is an engineer by profession.

The sign, Aquarius, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa. Mars is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

During the sub-period of afflicted Saturn in the main period of Mercury, the most malefic planet, the native faced unfavorable circumstances in his professional career.   As native was already under astrological advice, he could come out of the difficult situation immediately after the transit influences became favorable.

Male born Sep. 1957   (Click here to see chart)
Saturn is the prime determinant of the professional career in this case and it is well-placed and unafflicted in the chart.  The functional benefics, the Sun and Mercury are well-placed in the chart in the fourth house.  Ketu afflicts Mercury.  The most malefic planet is placed in the fifth house but causes afflictions to the houses occupied and aspected to the extent of 30%.  The functional malefic planet, Mars, is placed in the fourth house but does not cause close afflictions to the most effective point of the houses occupied and aspected.  Due to the strong position of Saturn, the Sun and Mercury, the native, an engineer by profession, could enjoy good position in his professional career and enjoys a good reputation as an effective manager.

The sign, Aries, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

The strong planetary combinations helped him in getting timely elevations.

Male born 21st May, 1963, 1520  (Click here to see chart)
Venus is the prime determinant for professional career in this chart.  Rahu becomes the secondary determinant.  Jupiter, ruling the house of education, powerfully aspects the ascendant, house of gains and the house of initiatives.  Both the Moon and Venus are functional benefic planets and are closely conjunct with each other.  Both of these planets aspect the second house.  Mars, the lord of the eighth house, is in the state of infancy and placed in the twelfth house.  This is indicative of delay in marriage, a short-lived marital life, loss of inheritance and reduces the life span which is primarily governed by Mercury in this chart.  Mercury is also in the state of infancy.  Rahu-Ketu axis does not form close conjunctions/aspects in this chart.

The sign, Scorpio, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

The good placement of the lord of the fourth house and its influence on the ascendant blessed the native with a Masters' degree in management.  The close conjunction of the lords of the houses of status and the gains blessed the native with a job with an organization giving a good pay packet as both the planets are affluent.  The bad placement of the planets in the eighth house, however, does not make the job interesting and satisfying.

Male born 10th Oct. 1943  (Click here to see chart)
The Sun and Mars are the prime determinants of the professional career in this chart.  The Sun is well-placed in the third house.  Ketu afflicts the lord of the ascendant, the Moon, and the Sun with close conjunction/aspect.  The lord of the fourth house, Venus, is well-placed in the house of status, indicating status in life through good education.  The native is an engineer by profession.  The lord of the third house is very well-placed in the third house in its sign of exaltation and is very near to the most effective point of the third house.   The sign, Aries, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

This shows that the native will have lot of enterprising initiatives and will derive good benefits out of it.  Saturn, the most malefic planet, is placed in the house of losses and closely afflicts the most effective point of the second house, ruling status.  The native ventured into an industrial unit which had average overall growth as the growth is checked by the aspect of the Saturn to the second house.  The aspect of Saturn to the most effective point of the second house also resulted in the death of the only son of the native and caused him financial losses in the sub-periods of Saturn.  The native sought astrological remedial measures after the tragic happenings in the sub-period of Saturn in its own main period.  The native was advised wearing of a KAVACH (YANTRA) for the afflicted functional benefic planets and the propitiatory remedial measures for the functional malefics, Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu.

Male born June 1952   (Click here to see chart)
The Sun and Mars become the prime determinants for this chart.   The Sun is badly placed in the twelfth house in conjunction with Venus.  Mars is placed in the fourth house and is rendered weak due to the disposition of Venus in the twelfth house.   The Moon, Ketu, Mercury and Jupiter become the secondary determinants by occupying the second and tenth houses.  The Moon closely influences the most effective point of the second house.   Jupiter afflicts the most effective point of the second house as also the Moon placed therein.  The most malefic planet, Saturn, closely influences the house of initiatives and the houses aspected.  Saturn also malefically closely aspects the planets, the Sun and Venus.  Mercury, the lord of the third house is well-placed in the ascendant and is unafflicted.

The sign, Virgo, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa.  The Sun is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.  The good placement of Mars and Mercury and the placement of Jupiter on the most effective point of the tenth house in the natal chart besides the placement of the Moon in the second house, helped the native to become a chartered accountant, and attain status as a professional.  However, the afflictions of the most malefic planet, Saturn, and the functional malefic planet, Jupiter, did not allow the native a satisfactory professional career and he has always been lacking financial strength.  The problems persisted in the sub-periods of Jupiter and Saturn in the main period of Rahu.  The astrological help was sought and appropriate astral remedies were suggested for reducing the impact of financial losses and obstructions in his professional career.

The sign, Aquarius, rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.

The weakness of the lord of the seventh house and the bad     placement of the lord of the twelfth house, however, delayed marriage to some extent.  The marriage of the native took place in January 1997, after performing astral remedies.

Male born in Jan. 1932  (Click here to see chart)
The sign, Libra, rises in the ascendant and the planet, the Moon, becomes the prime determinant for profession.  The placement of the weak Moon in the fifth house links professional pursuits to intellectual studies.  Jupiter is the secondary determinant for profession and its placement in the tenth house indicates that the native may acquire knowledge pertaining to law and finance.  The functional benefic planets Mars, Saturn and Venus aspect the tenth house.  The impact of the aspect of Venus on Jupiter is quite close and strengthens the indication of study of law. The lord of the house of income, the Sun, is placed in the third house indicating that the native would be venture out on his own and will not go in for a job with some other institution.

The sign, Capricorn rises in the ascendant of dasamsa and no planet is placed in its sign of debilitation in dasamsa.
